Lawrence Arts Center brings Kelley Hunt home to celebrate her storied 30-year career Sat. Nov. 9 – in-person and livestream tickets available

THE LAWRENCE ARTS CENTER, cultural hub of Kelley Hunt’s hometown of Lawrence, KS, is presenting her in concert with Kelley Hunt and The 5 (and some special guests) Sat. Nov. 9 in celebration of her storied 30-year career.  The timescape from the release of her self-titled album in 1994 to date has seen a long list of highlights, critical acclaim, appearances on some of the most prestigious, competitive stages in North America and Europe, 6 appearances on American Public Media’s award winning radio show “A Prairie Home Companion”, induction into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame and receiving the Kansas Governor’s Award For The Arts from Governor Kathleen Sebelius, hundreds of thousands of indie units sold, millions of streams and downloads and a career-long commitment to use her art in service of her community.  Her performance and recording career has brought her in contact with a long list of music luminaries and collaborators and even some notable politicians who’ve become fans in their “private” lives.  An evening of music and stories will be on tap in this unique concert event.  And to further celebrate the linkage between Kelley and her town, she’ll give workshops at Lawrence High School and the Lawrence Arts Center the week of the show.  Celebrating her remarkable 30-year career to date marks an important milestone, but her creative journey is nowhere near the end – she’s currently working on her 8th studio album and planning to ramp up touring in 2025.

Make plans now to celebrate with Kelley on this very special night, there are only 300 seats available in the Lawrence Arts Center main theater.  For those fans joining the celebration worldwide there are livestream tickets also available.
